Here are some pics of my Aquatop 40 at 4 months. Tank is LPS and softies.

Tank is doing ok. Going through some Cyano outbreaks on the sand.

Debating if I need some better lighting as the standard LED lights are ok but not sure for long term to get the best growth and colors.

For flow I have the stock return pump and a MP10 but not sure I have it in the best spot.

Looks good to me! Are there any fish planned in the future?

I am two months behind you on a 40gallon tank. It will be Fish Only With Live Rock, but so far it is CUC Only With Live Rock.

There are two small ocellaris clownfish in there a purple firefish. That is about it.

one of the fears of replacing the light is having to have a open top with the firefish.

I see the clownfish now. There are ways to make lids for the tank that are not very difficult. The bubbler on my 10 gallon quarantine tank was making a mess outside of the tank. So I cut this lid yesterday out of acrylic material for commercial lights. It was $14 a sheet at Home Depot. I'm sure the DIY thread has lots of cool options there.

Looks good but you probably want that mp10 3 inches below the surface so it ripples the water for you and oxygenates the tank.
EDIT: I'm now thinking that the notification I got was because you replied to a thread I was watching and not because you replied to me. Still trying to figure out the site.... Disregard everything....

Thanks, but this is a different tank than OP's. My powerhead for this tank will get installed on Tuesday (I will make sure to place it 3 inches below the surface so it ripples the water.). For now I just have a volcano in the QT.

The powerhead pictured in this photo stopped working yesterday. There is a new one on the way.

Upgrading the lighting to the Radion XR15 Blue. The color tuning is very easy and so far so good. Corals are looking better.
