Aquatop CF500 UV question.

Fresh out the box and setting up an Aquatop CF500 UV and I am wanting to turn the UV light off for some treatment I am using in my tank currently. Everywhere I have seen says "just pop the plastic cap off and hit the switch", however my plastic cap isn't budging and I don't want to break anything. Anyone have experience with this filter? Does it screw off? Pop off? Do i need to use a screw driver to pry it off?
