Hello! After not having a tank for the last 6 years, we decided to make our Christmas present this nice little(ish) setup. I am super stoked to get this cycle going. I know i will need to upgrade some things as time goes on( light, skimmer, test kits?and return pump line diameter? to name a few). but I'm pretty happy with what i have so far. I forgot how hard it is to be patient haha.

Really appreciate reading everyone's reefing adventures. Sooo much good info here. Many things have changed/progressed since i last had a tank.

Congrats! We did the same thing, going bare bottom for (eventually) a seahorse tank. You are about a week ahead of us!

Got some rock rubble and chaeto in the top media basket. Ugly grow light but it works for now lol. Finally showing some nitrites and nitrates today. Woohoo!
