I have used a couple of their internal ones for a few years until they break.
They last a couple years in my rough environment. I just bought a big one and move pumps around with it now.

The internal ones clog up pretty quick and then eventually something inside them starts producing rust and that's how I knew it was about to break.

ah I see yeah I can get the aquatop one for $100 as opposed to $350 for aquavoilet, not too mention no plumbing, not sure which route to go.

I ended up buying aquatop ones every couple years before getting frustrated and buying a couple used commercial ones.
Pond stuff is way cheaper. I ran a big pond UV on my tank for a few years. They eventually rust and fall apart but it's like a third the price.

tetrapond or jebao are the brands I have used.

I have used AquaTop UV sterilizers in my aquarium, but they tend to break after a couple of years. Consider commercial or pond options for better durability and cost-effectiveness.
