Aquavim 150 Gallon Corner Tank

Glad to hear things are moving along.
I assume the new fish went thru QT just fine.

I did end up with my pair a Bellus angels. Picked them up 3 weeks ago. In copper, they stopped eating and switched to TTM. They got uronema so by humble.fish recommendations they went thru 3 baths of melafix followed by 10 metro feeding and qt. They should be done with QT next weekend. I can't believe how good they look after the melafix baths.

Wow, Those angels are going to be bulletproof after all they've been through. My female, who turned into a male is doing awesome. I really want to get him a female counterpart. How much did you pay for yours?

$200 each with a 10% discount.
$360 + tax out the door.
My LFS is pretty good on prices.

Small update. I finished cleaning the rocks and did some rescaping. Put the canopy back on and lights back to normal. Depending on my parameters I will likely start adding some coral this week. So excited to start getting some color back in there. LFS has some small female bellus angels for $175. I may grab one on Sunday and start her in QT.

Cleaning the rocks accomplished nothing. Here we are 2 weeks later and the tank is nastier than ever. I backed off the light schedule a few hours, but as of right now I'm fighting a losing battle. The gold head sleeper goby and Tomini tang finished QT with flying colors and were added to the mix Tuesday and are doing well. Any thoughts on what I can do to get past this ugliness. I don't want to start moving in corals until this nastiness is gone. I have coral snow and MB7 i can dose, but how often and will it help?

Grabbing this stuff already QT'd from someone getting out of the hobby...

Brittle Stars - 10
Sandsifting Star - 1

Man, I stink at updating this thread. I've been very very busy!! Well, after my last post, I went lights out, pulled all the rock, scrubbed and put them back. I got some more CUC and let things settle down a bit. I tried lights again. This time, since I got a sand sifting goby, a sand sifting star and some other things, my sand bed looks great. The rocks started getting ugly again though (much less this time tho), so I'm lights out again. Last weekend I pulled and scrubbed all the rocks again. I built them into a much better scape than last time and I'm going to stay lights out for a little longer.

As far as additions since my last post, I finally got some of my dream fish in there. For cleanup purposes I grabbed the sleeper goby and a tomini tang and they are doing work! Next was a pair of yellow headed jawfish from KP Aquatics. One died in QT which was a real bummer but i stayed the course with living one and got him into the DT where he was MIA for awhile but showed up again eventually. I contacted KP and wanted to get a replacement, but to my surprise, HE SENT TWO!! Well this pair made it through QT with flying colors and I added them to the DT post QT last weekend and amazingly enough, the 3 of them are in the DT where they made a cave for themselves and they are doing awesome and are so fun to watch.

Next phase was gear. I, like many, am just sick of Neptune, BRS, everyone under the Aperture umbrella, so project hydros kicked into gear last month. I bought a ton of stuff from someone who was shutting down and got the rest of what I needed from Top Shelf. MP40s swapped for Octo Pulse 4's. Orbit 4's swapped for XF350s. Cor 20 swapped for a Varios 8. I got a X10, X4, X3, iV, Wave Engine and Kraken. So far so good. I'll post some before and after pix of my setup. Oh, I 3D printed a bunch of hex grids for my backboard and mounted all my gear on that.

Finally we come to last Sunday when I had the rare opportunity to grab 2 fish that In REALLY wanted to round out my collection. I'm sure I'll have some other additions later, but obviously I was biding my time to take another hack at a madagascar flasher and I also wanted a female bellus to join my transitioned male. Well, they both came into the LFS and they were doing a wild sale and also gave me a little better deal since I lost my last flasher back in January. Well, I got em both and they've been in a QT for week now and both are doing very well. H2O2 and meth blue baths on the way into their separate tanks. Flasher is unmedicated so far, but I may hit him with a couple rounds of General Cure. Bellus is doing HTTM and just got her second H2O2 bath today and is doing very well. Both look healthy and happy and are eating well. Not a big deal but i also snagged 2x scarlet cleaners. I QT'd them for almost a week, they both molted a day apart and are now in the DT.

I think that about sums it up. Next week, after one more week of lights out, I plan to bring in some coral. I'm going to do this piece of rock covered in hairy mushrooms, some hammers and a large Nepthelia.
