Just so everyone knows Seachems Aquavitro Fuel will increase no3 massively.

I dosed the recommend amount when no3 was previously 0. In two days no3 reads 160ppm! Thats a lot. I' suggest dosing 1/4 of the reccomened dose.

For my tank it was 1 inner capful for every 30 gallons. So I dosed 5 inner caps for 210 gallons.

The reason is all the amino acids in it. Amino acids get broken down by bacteria and converted into no3.

So be warned it really increases no3.

Good to know. Esp in case of nutint limited systems and you don't want to use stump remover.

An inner capful is 7 mL. So you dosed 35 mL per 210 gallons, or about 44 mg/L of liquid including all the water in it. No way did that raise nitrate by 160 ppm.

I concur. I've used fuel for years before switching to acropower and it never raised my nitrates, especially that much in that short of a time frame.

I agree, something is a miss. I use to use it years ago, never raised N03. Testing error?

That sounds about right. The only other explanaion was I turned in ozone overnight. I thought the same.

I purchased my first bottle about two weeks ago. The bottle is almost empty and I told my wife today I needed to buy more because it’s the best thing I ever bough for my corals, lol.

I haven’t tested no3 since using it so I can’t say anything about nitrate levels.

I use Fuel on a doser and dose 10ml a day into my 50 cube. It’s been amazing for me and had no impact on my nitrates or po4.

But, every tank is unique and what works for me may not for others.

I just bought Fuel for the first time, added a 10ml to a 90 gallon tank and my ORP by a 130 points.
so, do you mind me asking what caused the switch to acropower?

I have used Fuel for years and never experienced NO3 rising due to dosing it. The stuff is great.

Talk about an old thread revival.
