Any issues with this salt mix ? Except the price? lol. When I restart my tank I believe I will go back to it. Just researching others experience with it.
I used Aquavitro Salinity for about 2 years (and kalk in my ATO many years). As far as water chemistry goes mag could get a little low at times, ca and dkh got a tad high one or twice. I felt it was pretty stable. I stopped using it only because I was hating my tank and did not want to spend more money on it.

I never had issues with it, but you do need to use it quickly, IE mix and put in the tank within 12 hours. They also have some specific instructions on the container.

The price isn't bad when you figure it makes 225 gallons at 1.026. I would always have to add CA and MG to mine.

I went through a large bucket over 2 months and was very unhappy with it. It was a newer batch so maybe things have changed since you used it last. My alkalinity readings were all over the place on each batch. There seems to be a big variation in grain size between the different elements/salts in the bucket and no matter how much I mixed/rolled the salt before using, it was impossible to achieve uniform diserpsion. One 50 gallon batch mixed at 11 DKH (which led to precipitation) and another mixed at 6 DKH. Mag was usually ok but calcium was constantly low at around 350-360 ppm.

The real kick in the teeth was that it mixed very dirty. My mixing barrel was constantly covered in brown junk and the water had a slight odor.

Basically, it was a terrible product for me and I can't ever see trying it again.

I switched to it a few months ago. I can't say it's better or worse than any other brands I've used. I will say that it does mix the number of gallons stated at 1.026 sg better than other brands I have used. Thus, while the salt may cost more, I am having to use less salt to get the same number of gallons than before (so the extra cost is less significant when factoring this in).

Great salt. Mixes clean, parameters are always within the parameters on the label. Corals like it. I mix a full bucket at a time and haven’t had to clean my storage vat in two years. I keep it moving in the vat all the time with no heaters.
