Aqueon 120 BB aquascape

Good Morning,
I am in the process of rescaping my 120 now. I have #20 Marco shelf, #16 Marco base, #40 of life rock and arches, and a #18 pedestal shelf. I am putting black starboard on the bottom and will mortar the base rock to the starboard before installing it.
The tank has been setup for 14 months but after adding more SPS I keep blowing sand around on my LPS.
I like the idea of some “barrier walls” built into the aquascape to shield my softies and LPS from the flow.

I need help and input from all of you because I am design challenged

So do I but that is probably a little out of my capabilities.
I’ve looked through some of the threads and see several that I like but I really have no idea what I’m doing.

In general I like two islands with a separation. One about 2/3 the height of the tank and the other 2/3 the height of the first. Never aquascaped a tank that large though.

I would go higher with the middle island, right now it is 15”.

Are you planning on adding more rock or going for an open minimalist look?

I'm guessing that will all be glued together? Still a little top heavy in the center?

I love the look! Just never brave enough to try it in my own tank.
[emoji53] was always afraid the whole thing would fall over.

You mentioned barriers, low rock walls, to help shield some of the LPS? If you stuck a few rubble under one side of the flat rocks would that raise the top edge up enough?

Here is the actual scape. It is held together with acrylic rods, extra thick BRS glue, and emarco 400.
It was a challenge because I had three days to take the tank apart, get all the sand out, starboard the bottom, aquascape, and get all the fish back in.
So far my reset has not had an chemical issues. I kept all the same water sans a 20% change, rubble and Brightwell bio blocks in the sump.

So far I’m much happier with my bare bottom setup than I was sand.
