The tank was great but it was not reef ready I only moved on because I wanted a sump. I was not trying to even see if the glass was drillable. I used a Fluval fx6 for filtration. nice sized tank if it were reef-ready I would probably still have it.
Good to know that it’ll last the long haul! The sump aspect isn’t a deal, I think I’ll plumb it through the wall. Too short might be a problem though.I've had my current Aqueon 125 for about 7 years now. I would buy one again, except I would go with a standard 180 gallon or a 5x2x2 if I could start again.
I would not want that stand, however. Too short for viewing and no place for a big sump.

5’ 6 bulb t5 was exactly what I was thinking. Maybe an XHO actinic strip for the pop. Is the shadowing bad with the braces or no? And yep mostly sps reefMine is lit with T5s. I would get a 5' six bulb T5 fixture.
You have lots of options though. T5, halide, LED, or a combination of those.
Going to be a reef?
