Jan purchased and set up 180g glass aquarium by aqueon

use to have 120g glass aquarium

ive noticed on my 180 occasionally some scratches on inside of glass, not sure if they,ve been there or if im causing them

been in hobby 15 years and never really noticed like this

have always used aqueon mag float scraper, the blade on end of stick to scrape film(wondering if this could be the problem) or is this common for aqueon glass aquariums-maybe regret this tank purchase

any feedback on anyones experience w/aqueon just never have noticed things like this or since its new im looking at every little thing and didnt before

STOP using scrapers use paper towels and watch how u clean the glass, Never trusted mag scrapers lots of people scratch their tanks w these as sand or gravel can get trapped. Clean your glass regularlly have great results and NO issues w my tank!

So you just paper towels on the inside glass

And again

have never noticed or had an issue

but thank you for your input

One person’s tale: I have two new custom 150s, and so naturally I don’t want my low irons glass scratched. I had never used a Flipper before, but decided to give it a try. I am very careful— especially to AVOID TRAPPED SAND— and have not caused any scratches, even getting off stuck-on algae. So maybe try a Flipper? Best wishes. :)

Yes I have 30 years reefing and learned along time ago PATIENCE and soft paper towels and a fingernail two times a week and due diligence avoids scratches just my method, But It works!

(I’m not following... You are in your tank, up to your armpit, twice a week, with loose paper towel) (?) Not with my Clown Trigger I don’t think you’d be. Lol.
