I am using several older all glass tanks as a staggered series of sumps. The bulkheads I am currently using are the standard (for All Glass at least) threaded bulkheads.
My problem is that nothing locally available seems to actually fit onto the threading of these bulkheads and their external threading. Does anybody know of any fittings (maybe an online source?????) that will thread onto these things??>????

I thought the exterior threading was for the nut only... I might be wrong, but I thought that the bulkhead was designed for the pipe to go inside the fitting on both sides.

The inside of the bulkhead is slip and the outside threads are so long (maybe not the correct term) that it would be easy to put a screw fitting on IF one could be found.

The outside isn't meant for anything but the bulkhead nut fitting so I think you will have a hard time finding a thread to fit on it. But I have thought about doing that before.
