Lately I have had to be more diligent about cleaner the top weir of my 75G aqueon tank's overflow, and I used to be able to let it get cruddy with no issue.
When I initially filled the tank, I realized the water would no enter the overflow, until it reached the top weir, leading me to beleive the lower ones were just asthetic.
However, I am starting to wonder if the design is, all weirs drain, into that very small front compartment, which then drain into the main overflow.
Does anyone know if this is the case, And that I should clean the lower weirs? Or is something else going on?
I tried finding info on the lower weirs, and it sounds like they are infact fuctional, but with the very small gap, and my experience setting up the tank, it doesn't seem like they would be.
