So my temp alarm went off. It’s been close to zero outside at night so I wasn’t surprised, thinking the heaters couldn’t keep up. I turned one up and saw the temp come back a little. A couple days later it was still low so I decided to inspect the heaters. When I touched this guy I got quite a jolt.
This is the second of this make and model that has gone bad and leaked, but the first one that I’ve seen split and shock me.
Glad no one else got hurt, especially my kids. Fish and coral seem unaffected too. Kinda surprised by that.
Be aware and use gfci outlets. I think I have a bad one to replace.

Yikes, that could've gone way worse, glad it didn't though. Quite honestly I don't trust anything from Aqueon anymore because of stuff like this happening.

I have went through probably 4 or 5 of those in just as many years. They go bad so easily. I stopped buying cheap and went with the finnex titanium with the controller and ive never looked back
