I ended up getting one for free and am trying to see if any has one have they been able to use it as refugium and with a skimmer as well. please post pics.

I don't have any pics but I ran one for the longest. Mine was a model 3. There were a few skeptics out there in regards to these sumps. People think dirty water should be skimmed first but with that sump the fuge got the dirty water and skimmer got the water from the fuge. I never had an issue. I went bigger, that's why I stopped using it.

what skimmer did you use and what return pump as well since I am guessing you had both in the 3rd chamber

I ran several. I had a coralife, then a reef octopus ext. (can't remember the model) and a classic 160-int. For a pump, I was using a mag 12 at the time. Hard plumped the return so it was out of the way. Here is a pic of when I broke it down. I went to a custom sump the fills my entire cabinet.

I've been using a aqueon model 3 had refugium in center return pump in last and ran a external skimmer with feed pump in 3 chamber also the skimmer if you won't internal should go in center but you would have to choose between refugium or skimmer so have both with external
