Aqueon Quality Control... buyer beware.

Anyone else noticed a sharp downfall in Aqueon's quality control lately? Countless defectives, and this today, exchanging later.

I understand the whole "you get what you pay for" thing, but some of us need cheap sumps & "what you pay for" best ought at-least hold water.

I can't tell what we're looking at. Are the panels not lining up? Or is the silicone on the outside worrying you?

Panels didn't line up - could fit over a pencils worth between "seam" and glass

Did you buy it locally? If it’s from petco/smart they’ll likely exchange it

I mean its pretty well known knowledge that Aqueon is a pretty cheap, low end tank manufacturer. *Shrug*

agreed quality control is lacking. I bought a 40 Breeder last year at Petco and luckily they had about 10 in stock and every one was a bit different but after going through all of them I was able to find a good one.
