Aqueon tanks with tempered glass on sides

So I have bought two different 75 gallon aqueon tanks with both being all tempered glass. I called aqueon and they basically said it’s a shake of the dice whether the sides will be tempered or not. Anyone have success finding on that was not tempered on the sides and drilling it?

My 75g Aqueon was only tempered on the bottom. Drilled 4 holes in the back for the shadow overflow and the returns.
