Aragonite sand - Where to buy?

Has anyone had any luck finding an equivalent to old castle/southdown or any other cheaper version of aragonite sand at any major stores (other than petsmart, petco etc)

Try the CaribSea special grade dry aragonite. It's not live, but it's usually $1/lb rather than the $2+ for live sand. BRS sells it with free shipping.
