Are all heaters the same?

I'm in search of a new heater for my redsea 250 build. Any suggestions?

No. They are kinda all the same in that they all fail over time. Some are better than others.

Just do not trust any single controller and have redundant stuff. For example, I use several smaller Ehiem heaters with an internal thermostat, but they are also on a Ranco Controller. ...so many heaters and the Ranco have to fail to have an overheat situation.

NEVER trust a setup with a single thermostat.

This is good advice. An apex or some other type of controller is a good choice as well

I looked into the apex, I just can't justify the cost when I'm home enough to just check the tank daily.. maybe if I can find a wifi controller that is more reasonable
