So, I have done it once again...

I don't know why I keep doing this, and I know I am not alone.

I put a .75" Biota Mandarin into my RSR 250 the other day. Now, shockingly, I can't find him.

Is he alive? Is he dead? Did he go over the overflow? Did he get sucked into the gyre pump? Did he get enticed into one of the anemones? (I swear my clowns did that to my Sunburst Anthia) Did he go to close to the momma clown and get chomped? Did he succumb to one of the<insert suspicious crab species here>? Did he find a nice cosy place out of view and is completely fine and will wander into view when he's good and ready?

Thing is, I do this to myself ALL the time. I don't think I'm happy unless I am worrying about something in the tank or blaming myself for something.

Why???

I have imagined so many gruesome things that could have happened to him. I have probably sat down in front of the tank at least a dozen times today to see if I could find him...

This repeated self-flaggalation has got to stop!!

Tell me, am I the only one who does this again and again??

Don't give up. Mine disappears and scares me often, and then there he is.

Hello,

You know I had the same problem with my small little dog a few years back. I solved the problem when I put him on a leash and he never left my sight. I could always let you borrow the same leash it brings good luck.

I think that just comes with having a reef tank.....we are so accustomed to problems, we just expect them. I have started to learn that as soon as you just stop worrying about everything, things seem to run much smoother :)
