The past weekend i decided to buy a sea hare for my hair algae problem , all he does is stay on the sand and eat whats there , the second night i had him he inked in the tank but it was at night and i was able to just suck it out with a turkeybaster sinve the power heads was off . 1 day later i wake up go to my take to look for him and i couldnt see him then my wife points to my elegance coral and says is that him , well he got stuck in the tenticals and it was trying to eat him to i picked him off and placed him back on the sand , this morning i went down to the tank and he was in the meat coral , how do these things survie in the wild when he gets snatched up by every coral he passes, and he likes to bury himself in the sand during the day is that normal is any of this common ? and he has yet to eat any hair algea

I don't know how they survive. I tried 3 of them and they all died so I just gave up on them. Hermits, rocks, sand, cliffs, etc all seem to kill them. It is on my personal "Best just left in the ocean" list for sure.
