This might sound dumb but I’m wondering if it’s actually realistic to see a black sand coral reef in the wild. I’m asking this because my next reef tank is gonna be a Hawaiian biotope but I wanted to use black sand. Does anyone know if black sand can even be found around reefs? I gotta find out or else my OCD will kill me. Also I wasn’t sure what forum to put this in so if this is the wrong one sorry about that. Thanks guys

The black sand isn’t natural looking IMO.
Been snorkeling in Hawaii several times and most of the reefs have white sand

Not seen black sand when diving in Nevis only white. Personally can't think of any beach I have been to that was black sand. I know they exist but thought it was due to proximity to volcanos.
