Are blastos the new "in" lps?

I love the puffy look of the Blasto. Have had some nice ones over the past year and with the exception of 1.. water chem has taken most of them down.

The one I am looking for may have 2 names.... It is a dark red body with a blak to dark purple radiant center. Like the one I saw earlier. Called Black Cherry or Black Widow.. Now that is something to look at.. I like my reds.. and blues.. but not blue green.. or green.. and some yellow and orange are nice too.. man I cant make up my mind. so.. just not green..

They are getting very fancy. I see rainbow blastos that almost looked like acans.

This Blasto is in my 120 is as big as someones head I have 2 of them they were grown from 2 polyps! pic is not the best

Yours are very similar to mine. I have close to a 12” colony in my 180. Sadly, I did not grow mine...I bought the colony. Are yours really intricate underneath? I have a whole intertwined stem system underneath my colony.

That really is a massive colony, I hope to grow the two types Ive got out quite a bit. I'd really like to find something cool at a frag swap sometime.

I will be better pics of both my colony's for you to see and yes very intricate underneath as I said before these started out as 2 polyps and have grown to 2 huge colony's as other people have stated there are so many versions colors out there now would love to get some other colors would trade a good sized frag of mine... To bad this was not before would have been happy to give you some of what I have.. your blasto is beautiful!

This is Black Widow. There is a variety that is reddish with just black rays.. that I prefer.

My experience is Blastos play well together.., though Not an expert. Looking for pics to get a commercial name. Gimme a few minutes.

OOK I am only finding this one under Green Blasto. I found a nice Toxic green but it is not matching tothis pic any.. Sorry I could not be more helpful.. As a single polyp, may not know if it is B. merletti or wellsi till it adds a few heads.

Thank you. The center is so bright, I have to adjust the color on my phone. Imo wellsi.

you using your phone? I have been using an app.. Aquarium cam.. seems to work good at removing blue for sure.

Got a three header of @A Reef Creation black cherry blasto's. Been in my tank for 3 years, hasn't grown a single head. Unfortunately I did kill one head about a year ago using some @Frank's Tanks "F" Aiptasia, to get an aip that was growing between the heads.

I'll try and get a pic when my lights come up.

Aptasia is taking over my tank! I let it go to long and they have popped up everywhere! i was going to try Franks! Did you get it on the coral? I have so many frags. Thankfully havnt glued them yet so I guess I can move the around to apply that stuff. Does it work? How long do you think it will take so I can put corals back in their homes! Like an idiot I just bough a ton of new frags. I should have waited until I had it under control! I have a hawk that will kill any thing I put in tank. Wish I could get some peppermint shrimp or some nudi's. he would probably kill a filefish!
