I bought a bluethroat niger trigger I plan on buying corals later down the line was wondering if there reed safe, he’s in a tank with 2 purple tangs 1 yellow tang blue tang, 2 clownfish. Thanks

So is it a niger trigger were talking about or a blue throat/jaw trigger?

He will eat all snails your CUC, and nip clams probably. but will leave corals alone

Yeah don’t have any snails just have a tuxedo urchin and 2 emerald crabs there probably toast

Nigers are not, Bluethroats can be, but do obviously have a chance to nip at corals. It's very similar to those who keep angels in a reef

Ah makes sense, beautiful fish I guess I’ll just have to see all the fish have different personalities as well lol thanks

Some people can have some luck with them, and others may not. It will all depend on the individual fish

Ok, he does sometimes fight With my blue Hippo tang had him for a week now, kinda worrisome considering it’s an 180 gallon tank and not many fish in the tank.
