I bought a tiger conch few days ago and its only active when lights are off. As soon as i put lights on it goes back into shell. What i saw on youtube was totally different, most of the conch were active during the day. Its currently eating diatoms on sand and algae.

I have a small one, but it is active all day long working on the sand, low areas of rocks and glass. It will "sleep" during different times of the day. I assume it is active at night as well since it is constantly changing positions in the tank.

Same here. Generally active at all times but they do rest for periods.

my conch is active only during night and sleeps all the time during the day. Lol

Night time for me. I'm guessing one of my fish tries to nip at it or harass it so it waits for the fish to sleep. Could be totally off though

Same! Mine is pretty much always on the move during the day and even throughout the night. Burrows and sleeps here and there as it pleases!

how can u tell if its juvenille or a adult?
If it can run an iPad, it's a young one... if it prefers watching Matlock or Jeopardy Reruns on TV, then it's an old adult.

But seriously, I have no clue how to tell a miniature conch's age!
