Are dwarf angels worth the risk?

I live in Japan and have seen the most unique and beautiful dwarf angels, but I’ve been so afraid of getting one because of the risk-factors. I have a mixed tank and if he started chewing on my scolies or lobos, I would be devastated.

I have a flame, flame back and lemon peel in a 50 gal all get along fine

My lemon peel went for my green lobo with a vengeance but won’t touch any other coral

I am getting a flame angel soon. I have an acclimation box to get him and the other inhabitants used to each other and I have a mirror on the tank that works really well for me with aggression in my tangs. That all said, I know it is a risk that I am willing to take that he will nip at some of my corals. I will be ok with some nipping but if he becomes a holy terror I will get a fish trap and keep him in my problem tank. I call it that because it is there just to house things I buy on a whim that don't work out in the DT.

People always get upset at this haha I don’t know why. I have my flameback and multicolor in a 40 and they are fine

I have a lemonpeel and coral beauty in a 55 - coral beauty is perfectly behaved but lemon peel is a liability with any Acans I put in there. I’ve also got a hammer, elegance coral, gsp and some zoas which he does leave alone but I think it’s only a matter of time before they also get unwanted attention. My 10 yr old has named him so he can’t really go back to the lfs - and they are very pretty fish.

Dwarf Caribbean Beauty three years Petco model citizen. No SPS. All softies shrooms zoas acans scolys One Maxima and one Derasa. No issues with any other fish. Good luck

I have an exceptionally large Coral Beauty, large enough that my wife refers to it as "Meg". By virtue of size it's pretty much the tank boss. Has yet to touch any corals, inverts or for that matter show any aggression to my other fish. They just defer to him if there's somewhere he wants to go / something he wants to eat.

I have had a coral beauty for 3 years, it is a model citizen that has never picked at corals, or my inverts. First fish in the tank and has been an absolutely great and beautiful fish.

Zoas, palys, leathers, bowerbanki, chalice, gsp, mushrooms, birdsnest, a recently introduced hammer.

I feed well and had a Flame angel that was destroying Acan's. It took a long time to figure out and some convincing from my LFS. My tank is in my home office and I can see it several hours a day. I never caught him picking at anything but my LFS said he could be doing it at night. Finally after eliminating all other possibility's for my Acan's dying I trapped and removed him. My Acan's started to recover immediately. They are now back to normal. I had a Coral Beauty for several years that never bothered anything but I've heard others say they were a terror.

Definitely fed my coral beauty a $30 hammer snack. Wouldn't eat the torch frag, but I got a wild hair and decided to dismount from the plug and shattered it.
So what does my genius self do, get another hammer frag that has larger tentacles/head. Yup gold star here

Yes but I don’t have any timid fish besides my dartfish. He mainly fights with the tang that is twice his size and always ends up losing.
