I stopped in at an LFS I have never been to before and they had 3 BIG colonies of elegance corals (8-10” wide) for sale for $109 which I think is a pretty good price. I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on one tomorrow.
This place is a bigger operation and I just don’t really trust any run of the mill employees advice on these. Is there any way to tell if one is from Aussie and not indo? Are the Indo one still as difficult as they were a few years ago?
There’s one with a bright green mouth, dark tentacles and purple spots
Another one with fluorescent green mouths and grey/white tentacles
And a third with bright green mouth and bright green tentacles with purple spots.
Are any of these easier than the others? Any more desirable? TIA!

Well I pulled the trigger on this one. It’s not fully open but it’s been in the tank for only about 25 minutes. Crossing my fingers that it can stay happy. There was another gorgeous one with a different color morph. If this one does well I may go back for a second because it was so har to choose between the two. I feel that $109 was a good deal? Other one is almost as big.
