Are glue sticks aquarium safe?

The glue sticks I’m familiar with dissolve in water, but are non toxic since kids inevitably eat them

I see, as long it's not toxic. So far I dont see any leak yet...

Epoxies are safe once cured. JB weld plasticweld is epoxy. Thermoplastic adhesives (hot glue guns) are safe. Solvent based glues are safe like pvc cement or acrylic weld on.

Don’t use water soluble all purpose glue sticks. I don’t know what uline product you are referring to.

If it’s the Clear Acrylic, I’d use Weld•On 4, I got a neat little kit from Ridout Plastics years ago. It has Hypodermic Syringes and Squeeze Bottles with Needles on them.

I'm not sure either. But I used it on the outside only. I will use the plasticweld on the inside.

Not too big, just a line/crack. I have the glue sticks and plasticweld around at home so I thought I'd try those.

Weld on for acrylic loctite for non acrylic is what I always use no clue if jb weld would be safe as most epoxys are but not all also 100 percent pure silicone is safe after it drys

as long as its not in contact with the water.. jb weld is not known for being fish safe.. they do make aquarium epoxy most of my local fish stores have it.. i think even home depot has sticks of it

I see, but the label/box says drinking water safe so I assume it's safe for fish also.

I'm am also seeing other people saying they are using JB weld plasticweld so I feel kinda safe in using it.

May be may not be our drinking water thats considered safe can kill reef tanks I mean we drink chlorine in our tap water but you wouldnt put that in a tank

I'm of the opinion why risk it when there are safe things that only cost a few dollars at the store if you do use it let us know what the long term effects are

Were you talking about hot melt glue? There are a ton of different hot melt varieties.

When you say glue stick I see this, used for sticking paper together (and eating)

Not this:

You can get plastic bonding hot melt/snot glue, but I'd expect most of ULINE's setup will be around carton sealing.
