I'm chasing after a quiet system for my reefer 250.
I see discussion on quiet skimmers, pumps, etc... but I don't see any mention on how quiet led lights are.
Are they all quiet by design, or do some ramp up the fan and create noticible noise ?
Looking at higher end Kessils, Radion, Hydra.

I've got Radions. They're completely silent.

I wouldn't say my radion G4s are silent. I can hear the fans but they are not loud. More like ambient sound

My reefbreeder Photon V2's are completely silent.

Hydra 26 hd's silent.

My DC umps in my skimmer and return are silent besides start up

This is super subjective. I can't hear anything over the window unit AC in the same room as my tank so yea, my tank is "silent."

AI prime hd is silent unless you put your ear up to it and the fan you can barely hear it moving. But who puts their ear that close to the lights anyway?

Kessil LEDs are fairly silent. I cannot hear the fan over the noise of my filter which is also quiet. Most LEDs are quiet since they dont run too hot.
