Are my Cardinals acting weird

So for my new tank ive got 5 Banggai cardinal fish. They eat well and stay in their little group, but what confuses me is that they stay to the far right of my tank away from all the rock and stuff. They just sit out in the open and never leave that place. Ive currently got no other fish and just some snails and hermits, are my little buddies acting strange or is it just a thing Banggai like to do?

Cardinals are not the most active fish, especially during daylight hours. Their behavior is pretty normal. Be forewarned, however, that bangaii's will form pairs, with one pair most likely killing off the rest.
