Hello everyone

I have a tank that is 6 months old. Water level tested well for the past five months that I did every three weeks or so.

I wanted to see if my new anemone that I brought is doing okay. The first night I was trying to settle and got caught in a powerhead and lost half of its tentacles. I managed to fish everything out and put it in a separate tank and I saw that it wasn't dead, and put it back into my DP.

I some of the tentacles that was cut off have been growing back. I wanted to see if you guys know if there are anything noticeable that I should watch out for.

I feed it 3 times a week with a small anchovy.

Thank you all for the help

Look pretty good after being in a power head. The tentacles are extended and that is a good thing

Whew, I wanted to have someone say that to me haha. Every other day or so in shrinks to a veeeeery small size and comes back like the picture after an hour or so, I heard that was normal as it's prolly pooping it up.

It looks like the anemone is recovering nicely. The only thing I would really watch out for with it is the clowns. If they get too aggressive with their rubbing up on it, if they are, it might impact the nem's recovery. Also, what size tank is that? Judging by the pics, it looks pretty small and with all of that livestock, it may be too much, especially with the coral beauty.

It's 30G measuring 29x16x12. It's got everything you see and then a Pj cardinal in the back which is hard to see as it's a shy little one.

I haven't really seen the mouth opened up but it seems to be eating the small anchovies that I feed it

You should be able to watch it move the food to it's mouth. This usually happens within a couple of minutes. I have had coral beauty nip at my nems too.

Just keep feeding it. I wouldn't be surprised if it bounced back 100%.
Great to hear, been a couple of weeks since the incident and the clownfish don't really run it during the day time so I think it's okay with the hosting at the moment.
