Are my montiporas killing each other?

Due to a broken branch of a forest fire montipora once encrusting near another green encrusting monti I now have 2 colonies fighting each other.

2 days ago I noticed the nearest section of the red Monti to the other one had completely died. I immediately thought the green monti attacked it. I still do.

I don’t really care about the red monti, I mean, I would prefer it to live so I can trade it for something else, so I’m not really worried about it. But now I noticed something in the green one also.
It’s hard to see, so I’ve marked it

Sections of the monti looks kind of whitish, it’s the first time I see this, they are not dead (yet) and they do not look like Nudibranchs. I tried to siphon them and what I got wasn’t alive. At least not that I could tell with the naked eye, and it could be I didn’t siphon any. It looks more like sand (I did move a lot of sand yesterday)

Could this be part of the fighting even if it’s the section farther away? It’s also the part of the Monti with the most shade. (As you can see it has growth a lot from its original triangle, so that location is fine for it)

Possible monti eating nudibranchs. Have you added new coral?

They won't kill each other unless they are touching and even then, they usually find a way to call a truce and just have a DMZ.

This is likely something else, although I do not know what.

Ok, so enter suspect number two.
This orange echinata is 7cm above them, I always thought that it might be a problem when they grew. I don’t think it’s the culprit, it’s too far away.

Another possibility is that the green one isn’t a monti? They sold it like a monti but it might well just look like one.
I’ve the digitata in three other places and it’s fine everywhere except there. I’m pretty convinced that it was the green one. Let me take a picture of the damage donde to the red one.
But I’ve no idea what’s going on with the green one.

The flat worm is a red flatworm, not the parasitic one. I’ve a lot of them, that one just happened to be there.

So, I’ve caught the green montipora in the act of attacking the forest fire. The green one hasn’t yet recovered it’s previous color, except in the new growth where it’s attacking the other one.
