Are my refugium lights too high up? Both are 12w

I just added the sump on Sunday, had one of these lights on an aquaclear for my chaeto. It would do a good job of growing it, 2 would kill the chaeto. At this height is 2 enough? I can unscrew it and lower it if needed

Coulda sworn I added a pic. Tanks up to 8 inches in water height. Lights are about 4 inches over the rim of the sump
