I'm having a issue with some of my euphyllias seems really random. I just read some had a issue with peppermint shrimp eating or picking at euphyllias. Has anyone else experienced this?

I have seen them tear tentacles off my hammers before. Some do it others don't.

Yep, luck of the draw.
Peppermints i had a few years ago killed my hammer and frogspawn, but left everything else alone.
The peppermints I currently have are model citizens.
Good luck!

Thank for the replys! I have 2 large peppermints and now I'm wondering if they could be my issue. I've never seen them pick at any euphyllia, but they stay pretty hidden during the day.

I have lots of euphyllia and for the most part they look great, but I lose a few heads here and there. It seems really random. The flesh recedes from the bottom up until it dies. Do you think they could start picking at the bottom up, or is it more obvious, like they just start tearing them apart?

I had a peppermint shrimp that perched itself on top of a hammer and started frantically tearing at the polyps. This behavior lasted about 5 minutes, and he did a fair amount of damage. The weird thing is that as far as I can tell, it only happened once. The hammer has long outlive the shrimp.
