Are pink acans really rare?

Our fish place got in new coral. They had a pink acan and we were told they are rare. We haven’t seen them before anywhere. We bought it. It was a lot more than any of the other rainbow acans. Anyone else know if they’re really a rare find? The pink acan is still opening up in the photos.

I would say that they are pretty rare, its hard to find them online which is where a lot of corals are fond.
You got yourself a cool rare coral.

Ppl will tell you they aren't bc the peppermint stripe pattern on them is common. But that pattern with pink flesh isn't IMO.

Idk if it justifies paying a lot more than a standard rainbow but you likely won't see one again for a while.

Similar.. Ours has a lot less purple, more pink and red.

I have that same acan in my tank, it’s a pretty slow grower. That’s a nice size colony. Good find!
