Are pods eating my pavona?

Came in to the office from vacation today, and noted a few changes to my tank (coworker upkeep while gone). First thing, noticed my mint green potato chip pavona with a big bald patch. Next, the pod population on my glass exploded. I've caught the 3 sexy shrimp bothering my trachy, stylo and hammer, and also sitting on the pavona, so they are also prime suspects.

But I took a few photos of the pods milling about on my pavona and stylo, both of which are in bad shape (whereas a week ago, the pavona was a success story).

Anyone know what these pods are and if they eat SPS?

I'd go with sexy shrimp are primary culprits and pods are just cleaning up the mess left behind. Same reason I had to pull them from my mixed reef, the sexy shrimp devoured a stylo, then moved on to a blasto and an acro.

Now we set up an evo with a bunch of maxi minis just for sexy shrimp, and keep them out of the mixed reefs.

I also love my sexy shrimp. Was thinking of getting more of them. But, they don't hang out on my RFAs, and I don't have maxi minis. Don't even know if maxi minis would work in my tank.

If the trachy, pavona, and stylo are goners, I might just go with more anemones and keep my tank nems + macro + inverts + fish (eventually) with the occasional coral survivors... So sad. One in particular seems to be obsessed with the trachy.
