Hey I recently picked up a new siphon hose off amazon and got one with a check valve on the wet end to make starting easier, but the check valve it came with is made of copper. Has anyone tried using one of these? I only intend to keep it in the tank for like 5 mins? Will it be fine or is that enough time to leach copper into the tank?

i wouldnt put copper in youre reef tank.corals are very intolerant of copper.if you want a check valve on youre hose you can get a pvc one at hardware store and they r pretty cheap
