I just bought a used BRS RO/DI for stage system. in the reading from the water going in is only 6 and the reading going out is zero. I have well water and have a filter for the iron in the water and a water softener. Is it even possible for the reading to be that low? Or is there possibly something wrong with the meter?

Is the "In" before or after the RO membrane?
If after, it could possibly be that low but once you say well water all bets are off. With all the minerals in well water, the TDS is usually in the hundreds but I'm not sure how the water softener affects the readings.

I also have another filter thats there to take the minerals out of the water mainly iron but I think it removes other stuff also
