Are T5's Good???

New to the hobby running my 30 gal under corallife t5's are they good? what are the pros and cons?

You will get lots of opinions on lighting but IMO t5’s are hard to beat.. if you can supplement them with LED’s or MH’s even better.. I would swap out the coralife bulbs for ATI’s when it’s time to replace them

A good t5 setup is arguably the best option out there.

A t5 setup with good bulbs is hard to beat. Don't skimp and get cheap bulbs spend the money
and get ATI's or a proven performer. and as said they can be supplemented with led's or halide

They are, I used them for a long time, along with a metal halide over my 65 reef. I use leds on my saltwater tanks, but still use t5 on my freshwater planted, just can’t beat the plant growth. As others have said, get good bulbs, the cheap ones won’t work well.

T5s are supposedly good the downside is the cost of replacing bulbs. Led seems to grow coral just as well.
