Are the G5’s worth it ?

Hi I’m looking to get ride of my ai prime 16s as I’m getting sick of them and the problems I have been having with them . My question is are they worth it and have ppl had any problems with them ? Or should I go with a dodge truck light ?

Only you can decide the value. However, there seems some people have having various issues with them from noise levels to connection and lost settings. If you are unsure hold fire.

I have been readin now and have read a lot of bad thing on the G5’s that’s crazy the amount of issues ppl are having . I don’t understand how it’s so hard to find a good lights these days you would think with all the good technology these days ppl could put out some nice stuff

This is one reason, also cost, why I went with T5 setup. Set it up turn it on and be done. There are alot of used T5 systems out there for sale.
The bulb replacement issue is simple to solve. Just buy one a month at $20 ish and spread the cost out.
I do like and have used leds but on my 120 the cost would have been over twice the tank cost.

Seems intuitively obvious to me that ..... it's too soon to know LOL. Products like this always seem to have a few early bumps for some along with 'best light ever' initial euphoria from others. Former gets worked out; latter usually fades. I've a sizable investment/sunk cost in Gen4 Pro lights and I'm using Gen5 as an opportunity to buy another Gen4 at an 'obsolescence' discount. At some point my Gen4s will require replacing, but the Gen5 seems unlikely to be the trigger of that for me.
