Are these a sponge or somthing. Or an egg?

There are these growths that have seemed to come out of no where. they are a bulby looking thing and they seem to have what look like little hairs coming out of top. Anyone have an idea what they are? Here are some pics. Not the clearest but hope its clear enough for possible identification.

They are cool. Usually you'll find them on the underside of rocks where it's more shaded.
