im new to coral and found out acros die easily in newer tanks. These look different then when I got them but I can’t tell if they are dead or if they have hope of coming back?

Yep they are dead, it took almost 2 years for my tank to be ready for acros. Don't get disheartened, it always takes a while. Do you know what your parameters are at?
Salt 1.024
Temp 78
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Calcium 390
Alk 8.2
Mag 1260
Phosphorus 0.003 ppm

Phosphorus was at 0.613 a week ago and I added gfo because I had algae everywhere. Algae is in check now

They look like they still have some tissue left. They completely bleach out white when they are dead. You’ll know it.

I would bump up the salinity to 1.026 and have my nitrates at around ~5.

Just want to clarify on this. Corals are still alive when they are bleached, it is after they die that they lose that clear, bleached tissue and algae grows on the skeleton.

Only Jesus could bring that thing back

I can't say why....but this had me laughing.

OP - I am sorry though - not laughing at you. I don't know much about your tank but I can say I ran into a similar issue thinking my parameters are good but in the end ended up with similar results. About the only thing holding on at the moment is my green slim thingy. Rest either got fried from my LED's or bleached for other reasons. I've figured I need to let the tank and rock mature another 6 months before I do anything outside adding some small clean up crew types. I add them in small batches rather than big bang and they wipe everything out then too many left and they starve...

lol my setup was a newer tank. I have all the parameters in check. at the time i did not have phosphorus in check. i have enough light with 3 radion xr15
