Are These AEFW Bite Marks?

Any thoughts?
 
If it's still on a frag plug have you tried dipping it to see if anything falls off? Could be, but could also be stn from an unknown parameter being off.

I don’t have any dip. Is Coral RX SPS safe?

I hope it isn’t STN, but that was my other fear. I moved it from the upper half of my tank to the sand bed a few days ago. Hopefully that helps, but if it’s not bleaching, I guess it wouldn’t, would it?
 
Based on the corallites above it looks like the coral has something environmentally off. Doesn't seem like aefw but that could also be one of some other things that are off.

Do you mean because they’re not fully extending?

It’s probably nitrates, if I had to guess. They’re sitting around 30 ppm.
