That's a Manjano anemone I believe..I can't see it very well. But if it is they are just like aiptasia just a pest anemone that spreads ungodly fast and you can't get rid of it hardly

It's a Majano, you do not want that kind of pretty trust me.

I would get rid of it, they can turn your tank into a hellstorm of them little guys stinging everything in sight.. It is a manjano/Tulip anemone.
They are classified in the same get rid of category as aiptasia

Get rid of those before is too late, I had an invasion of the red ones and was a pain to remove though they look pretty..

everyone here is overreacting... yeah its a majano. AKA Tulip Anemony. i used to keep them and they can be controled on a sepearte rock. also unlike glass anemonies (aptasia) they can be lifted off by the foot. you could also kill them using a concentrated mix of kalk. cauision they will multiply, plan on where it will live and follow the plan and you are golden.

I agree. Majanos do not seem to reproduce as quickly as aiptasia and can somewhat be controlled, IMO.

The exception is not a risk I am willing to take. I have had tanks where Majano resided and never got out of control, but I have also had a tank under almost identical conditions where the Majano ran a muck. If a person can easily remove the pest anemone I encourage them to do so. It's just not worth the risk, Tulip anemones are not what I am trying to grow or want in my display.

Majanos can not run-a-much if if controlled. These animals split, they dont go sexual or enter the water column. They also cant crawl on sand so you could grow them on a small rock that is separate and not touching the other rock work. any stray anem or one that falls off can be easily eliminated or removed. from my expierience those that have an epidemic of this kind just do not pre-plan properly and then suffer the results. I would not compare these tulips to other majanos as they can again be managed.

Lastly, to the OP if you feed these they will split faster, simply letting them feed off of the water column they will split alot slower. These anems are real nice, go for it! If you change your mind remove the rock they are on. Just place the rock on the sand alone.
