I believe these are aptasia? They are on some the live rock in the tank I’m adopting.

Working on my move plan for this tank, and need to I’d so I can try and remediate as part of the move.

thanks!

They really are not that hard to get rid. Lot different methods do work.
From a quick reading, I’m seeing recommendations for a injecting with kalkwasser paste via syringe. Is there a better way to do it as part of the tank move?

Super glue gel over them, then some reef epoxy if you really want to overkill it.

super glue or aiptasia x or F Aiptasia...i like aiptasia x the best its fairly cheap last forever...doesnt take much. Its not messy and it works everytime for me.....boiling water works if done right ...take rock out and scrape works. Yes you can cover with kalk paste but aiptasia x is sticky and just covers the buggers before they can release any planulas and reinfect your tank. I have tried them all and i like Aiptasia X best it works and is least messy.

Make sure you turn off all your pumps when you do it and then wait about 15 minutes then start back up

you can your milage may very dont disturb it at all is the key to success that why i like the aiptasia x applicators plus its sticky and stays put and just covers them with no side effects to your tank o near by corals. If you use kalk just dont do a bunch at one time may effect your water chemistry

Aptasia not end of world but you dont really want them. Superglue did not work for me. There is mixed reaction on aptasia- No luck on my end.
Simply using a syringe which also gets into tight spots, inject lemone juice into its' Center core- dead center or kalkwasser powder mixed with tank water and a little lemon juice into a paste the consistency of toothpaste. Inject into dead center and it will melt away. I just found 6 last saturday surprisingly in my overflow. All gone

They were starting to take over my tank. I started treating them with lemon juice but it's hard to stab them with a needle as they trunk up right away. I'm the end I would mix a small amount of kalkwasser in rodi and stuck it up in a syringe. This way you can hover over the pest and dispense a little and it falls right on its mouth. They rarely needed a second dose. We also bought 5 peppermint shrimp... Not sure if they are helping or not but now I just occasionally treat a few.

thats why you need get some aiptasia x you sneak up on them with flow off and dump it right on them very precise and all done. No touching them or stabing them nothing...easy way

Since this will be part of a tank move, I can do this work in a bucket away from the DT. :)

So I'm thinking which ever process I use, I'll clean the rocks of detritus, scrape any undesired algae (if any), and then treat any aptasia and add to DT. Would you change this process?

Definitely aptasia. Peppermint shrimp kept mine in check.
