Yesterday morning I found about 10 of these things growing straight up out of my sandbed and swaying in the current. Today there is about 18. They are lightgray and look mostly see-through, although there is light grayish-brownish stuff inside. I can't seem to find it on any websites to try to identify.
Are these bad??

Oh wow. Cool. I'd guess tunicates. Sea squirts.

Some tunicates are very thin and colorless. The pictures KJ linked to are the more colorful ones. They come in a wide range of sizes and colors.
They're filter feeders so harmless at worst, beneficial at best.
