Are these Candy Apple Pinks? I can post a better pic once the tank wakes up. Aussie origin (tank cultured), good growers, larger than most palys. Shot under T5 50/50 blue/10K with no flash. Thanks a bunch.

BTW, I have no idea what they are. I just bought them because I liked them. I came up with the possible ID after looking on CoralPedia. Anyone seen these or something like them before?

Yours look pretty similar to mine, which were sold simply as Pink Zoas;

Not saying they couldn't be Candy Apple Pinks, just saying they weren't named when I got them.

Thanks guys. I'll for sure get a better pic soon. Hey green machine, how's the tank going?

Hey Steven, The tank is going good. glued down several frags yesterday so they stop falling all ove rthe place. lol The first red cap i got from John is doing great, perfect polyp extention. the other 2 i just got still dont look like they are recovering, the purple cap actually looks like its started to receed. :( shoot me an email when you get a minute.

Scopas Tang, Preston and BenJ, thank very much. I got an idea of the spectrum now. Preston and BenJ's look the most similar, except perhaps for the metallic sheen on BenJ's, which is very cool. I'd have to say the pink on mine is flat pink. Do you guys know where yours are from by any chance?

mak060, mine like yours are the flat pink, but lack the green oral disc. Unfortunately all I can tell you about their origin is my LFS (he refuses to disclose his source - I know he orders from an online source, but won't say who.

mak060, I'm in the MA if you want to drop by to see my collection.

i have the same ones i bought them as kobe palys

Scopus Tang. Your LFS sounds like he's under a lot of competition. More and more, IMO, hobbyists will want to know where something was found, how deep, etc. Can you imagine the guys in Aqua SD's overseas thread carrying GPS (maybe, when it comes with cell phones)? But like South American Discus collectors, who will want to reveal their sweet spots?

Preston--Your location definitely didn't escape me. I've heard of your collection and would love to see it; will pm you okay?

BenJ--Thanks. I'll check with Will.

Highpower9979--Yours strike me as identical, kobe palys from Kobe?

Der ABT-- I agree, looks like cat eyes with pink instead of purple (pic from CoralPedia):
