HI All,

New to marine - 3 months in and lots of things popping up now.

Have a few bristle worms i see from time to time but noticed these under the blue lights at night as they glow white.

They also seem to be out under day light too.

Attached are pictures of the 'lice' and also the white spots on rocks

Anyone help identify what these are?

I see what look like two things: spirorbid worms and collonista snails. Can google the pics and see if they match. Hard to tell.

Great, running the reef fallow at the minute due to a ich outbreak, so hopefully they will multiply well with no fish and be enough to support a mandarin.

Correction: Isopod

It looks like the the picture in this thread

yeah i certainly have sorbid worms they spit out a fan from under the rocks, pretty cool.

you can see loads in the video running all over the rocks. be patient the video is better view towards the end.

with me having an 'ich' outbreak that was unknown to me as im new to marine,

could these new critters be linked to a parasite on my fish?

ok thanks guys , appreciate your input. I have around another 6 -8 weeks yet of running the tank with no fish.@ReeferWarrant

So hopefully they multiply in the mean time and be beneficial for when the fish will finally call it home again.
