So after my tank crashed because of a nutrient deficiency I started getting what I thought was dinos. Began dosing NeoPhos and it seemed to get a little worse because it caused nitrate to drop. Now I started doing NeoNitro as well and the algae is starting to look a little different.

How new is the tank? That would be my question. I just started a frag tank and I had algae that looked the exact same. Would even get little bubbles at the end, I was convinced it was dinos, but it turned out to just be hair algae. Regardless, I would suck that out. Try not to blow it off and let it float in the tank as it may spread further.

Best thing to do is to get a microscope and ID what type of dinos. Definitely dinos though. The way they grow on corals like that.

Tank is about 5 months old. I had dinos in the beginning due to lack of nutrients but it never got to this extreme
