Due accidental dosing for a couple of weeks, phos and nitrates were at 0 which I think caused the algae to grow. I believe they are dinos. For the past couple of month phosphates are .02 and nitrates 5.

Is this really dino?

I will try to get better pictures. I just blew them off with a turkey baster. Hope this picture helps.

I can't see any air bubbles and doesn't look like dinos to me however your bottomed out parameters make you susceptible to dinos. If it blows off then siphon out what you can. Cut lights to 6 hours with blue and uv only no whites. Get a diverse cleaner crew and dose good bacteria like PNS probio.

Thank You. I can start with a 3 days blackout and continue with the light settings recommended. I have been dosing microbater 7 and bioSpira for good bacteria. I have also tried Reef HD and Chemi Clean, so this would be my third treatment :).

The blackout is ok but the problem will return I would avoid any harsh chemical treatments because that just opens the door for other problems. You need to address the root cause of your problem and identify what it is that you are dealing with. This typically involves parameters being off and or lighting like to much white.

Need a clear picture under white light to better ID algae. Need your complete current parameters.
