i have prazio pro, rid ich, and metro+

if i needed to dose my DT (150G and alot of rock) in the event of a future outbreak of some kind, like fungal, parasite etc. coupled with the inability to catch the fish or fishs, are these meds reef safe? I have alot of corals, inverts, pods, bristle stars etc and would hate to kill them. I understand that copper is good for a fish only tank but i dont have a fish only so copper is used in my QT. your past experiences would help me alot

I know you can’t put copper meds in a reef. I also know that there are a lot of items that say they are reef safe but really they are not. With the exception of things like acropower or vibrant, I don’t add anything I can’t test for!

Prazipro seems to be reef safe from what I’ve read. I have used it twice recently on one of my tanks and the inverts are doing just fine.

Can’t comment on the others meds- I only have experience with Prazipro and Copper Power so far.

The only "reef safe" product you listed is Prazipro. It can however kill bristleworms, feather dusters which could cause an ammonia spike.

The folks that make Ruby Reef Rally claim that it is "reef safe." Haven't dosed it in my DT. But it is a very good all purpose treatment product for a large variety of problems. ;)
